Food
Service Assessment Program
Are
you disappointed in the quality of food at your facility? Do
you and your staff dread eating in the cafeteria because of
the bad "hospital" food? Do you need an outside firm
to evaluate vendor performance and compliance to standards?
Service Reports Company performs quality assessments utilizing
a quantifiable auditing tool for hospital food and nutrition
services. Our assessment format
is divided into six specific categories, consisting of over
450 detailed line items, or quality assurance standards, relating
to all aspects of food service, from cafeteria and catering
to patient services and room service.
The six main categories we use to rate
food service performance are:
1) Promotion (signage, menus, customer
feedback, entry/first impression, etc.)
2) Product (product presentation, ingredients, serving methods,
taste)
3) Place (displays, servery equipment & cleanliness, dining
room)
4) Price (cash controls, pricing, employee integrity, accounting
systems)
5) People (service staff, hospitality, appearance, hygiene)
6) Kitchen (HACCP food safety program; equipment maintenance)
We provide a detailed performance summary
with recommendations. This is accomplished by combining our
interactive assessment with a departmental performance review,
which includes facility sanitation inspections, staff interviews,
questionnaires, and mystery shopper surveys.
Realistic plans and actions are formulated
and implemented after our study, so that your facility can
enhance food and service quality, identify sub-standard performance,
and raise customer satisfaction and retention levels.
“Your quality assurance
audit for our Food Service Department was a comprehensive

or punitive.”
